We take a look at your posture to find out if there are any imbalance that could cause pain and discomfort in the long run. Also, we look at how well your joints and muscles are working together and if there are any disproportion to be corrected.
It is paramount that the body is in a correct posture – it moves and distributes weight appropriately. By having a correct posture, it allows the muscles, joints and spine to work together.
We look out for the following:
Forward Head
Protracted Shoulder
Elevated Shoulder
Elevated Pelvis
Increased Kyphosis/Lordosis
Leg Length Discrepancy
Having muscle imbalance happens when certain muscles in the body are more developed compared to the others. It occurs when an individual does unbalanced exercise, bad posture, inactivity, unhealthy lifestyle, or through the body’s natural development.
Exercises to tone muscular imbalance:
Heel Raises
Single Leg Stance
Squats
Toe Touch
Single Leg Squats
The analysis provides individuals with necessary information about their manner of running. The information is very important because it is used to select the right shoes for the runner.
We measure the degree of the runner’s pronation. The pronation acts as a shock absorber for the body, diffuses the force of the impact of the heel hitting the ground.
By doing gait analysis, it matches the runner’s pronation. Having the right information, the runner can find the correct shoe type, reduce the risk of injury and improving running efficiency.
What we analyze:
Pronation
Supination
Low/Flat Arch
High Arch
